Position Description

The Brain Center is a group neuropsychology and psychology practice and is seeking a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist and a child/adolescent therapist to join and provide quality neuropsychological and psychotherapy services. The Brain Center currently provides neuropsychological and psychotherapy services to adults and geriatrics in the form of evaluation and individual therapy modalities. We are seeking providers in order to expand our services to children and adolescents.

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, collegial neuropsychologist and a therapist who has an interest in working in a group practice setting and appreciate connection with other clinicians in a supportive work environment. Desirable candidates will also share our mission and values of providing quality evaluations services and mental health treatment in a timely manner.

The positions are employee (W2) status, compensation is percentage based on income received, and is paid out monthly. The psychologist will be paneled with (at minimum) Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and United Healthcare. Although not a requirement, if the applicant is a a doctoral level provider, there will be opportunities to provide supervision to pre-doctoral trainees completing their practicum at the center.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve a diverse range of clients providing neuropsychological/psychological evaluations and psychotherapy services.

  • Must become paneled with Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare insurance providers (credentialing is taken care of by the practice)

  • Complete documentation within 72 hours of seeing the client including progress notes, intake paperwork, treatment plans, and termination notes

  • Schedule and provide neuropsychological/psychological assessment feedback sessions no later than three weeks after the last testing appointment is held

  • Collaborate with other providers within the group, as needed

  • Correspond with referral sources to coordinate care

  • Maintain case files within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) using Simple Practice

  • Be responsible for other aspects of client care including returning phone calls in a timely manner, scheduling sessions, and collecting fees at the time of service

  • Operate in an ethical manner in accordance with the APA Ethics Code

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and referral sources

Minimum Qualifications

  • For neuropsychologist: Holds a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, is licensed in the state of Indiana with an HSPP designation, and completed two-year neuropsychological postdoctoral fellowship 
    For therapist: Holds a master's degree in counseling and is licensed in the state of Indiana, or doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and is licensed in the state of Indiana with an HSPP designation

  • Demonstrates interest in working in a group private practice setting

  • Demonstrates an interest and ability to work with children and adolescents, and their families.

  • Demonstrates positive and collegial interactions with other clinicians and staff at The Brain Center as the practice grows

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of, and interest in, diversity issues and clients from all backgrounds

  • Training in providing services to children, adolescents, and their families

  • Training in, and understanding of, trauma-informed treatment
